It seems that there is never enough time in a day. But, since we all get the same 24 hours, why is it that some people achieve so much more with their time than others? Time management is key.
“Time management” refers to the way you organize and plan how long you spend on specific activities. In toastmasters, time management is substantial as it leads to successful meetings and qualified speeches.
On February 4th we conducted a Toastmasters meeting with the topic “Time management” being the toastmaster, I introduced a couple of methods and tips such as Parkinson’s law, Eisenhower Method and Eat the frog.
Couple roles in the Agenda were not filled till the last minute but the crucial ones were assigned way before I printed the Agenda.
Being the toastmaster was so much fun, everyone was very helpful and the Energy level was high. We had 3 speakers, Fabio, Danial, and Dima. Table topics were conducted by Barbara who spoke freely and asked imaginative questions to couple members and a guest at the end. The evaluation session was educational as usual.
Overall it was a learning experience that I enjoyed and would recommend everyone to try it out, I know I will (although I need to figure out another trick for shaking hands rather than giving chocolate).
